These Socks Were Made for Walking July 20, 2010 Disabilities? What Disabilities? (Ottawa, Canada) Thorlo's Socks and several other brands of hiking socks went over large parts of Wiltshire with me this spring. They went slowly because I walk with difficulty, and they didn't see much from inside my wonderful hiking boots, but Thorlo's and a certain pair of soft Bridgedale socks were the best. My feet got hot but, almost miraculously, they had no bruises or blisters or pain in a whole month. They hand-washed well, and they didn't wear out, either.
So soft February 10, 2010 J. Fleming (Chandler, AZ United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These were the first pair of nice hiking socks I've ever tried. They were so comfortable to hike with that I didn't want to stop! My feet stayed cool and cushioned all day long. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was that the heel is a little frayed after the first use, possibly because my boots are a little big and they were rubbing, I'm not sure. For socks that others have claimed should last for years and years, I was a little disappointed to see that. They're still awesome socks, and if you do any hiking at all, you'd do well by picking up a pair or two!
UPDATE: Been on several more hikes with these, and they're holding up just fine. I guess the fraying of the outer layer is pretty normal since it doesn't seem to be getting any worse. Also, I used to get blisters pretty regularly if I didn't tape up my feet. With these, I don't have to worry about it at all, my feet make it through any hike without any problems.
Foot heaven February 9, 2010 Mike (Orange County Ca) I originally bought these for hiking I will be doing on a photo workshop.
Now I wear them all the time including around the house. Pricey but man do they feel great on the feet.
Worth the $$.
I have a size 10 and a half EEEE foot and I bought the size 15. Fits just fine. Not too big.

Bought these for my son who spends a lot of time outdoors...and he won't take them off! Definitely worth the price.
Good socks if a bit pricey April 6, 2009 A. Chong (San Jose,CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are a great pair of socks. It is well padded without overdoing it and it breathes well. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I've not had any problems with sizing these. If only they were a bit cheaper I'd have given it 5 stars.
